“It's great. I like the fact that it's made from Hemp. The side pockets are good for gloves, the interior fits a gi and the rest of my gear.”

I am so tired of trying to find my cell phone, my tape, my keys, my wallet, my mouthguard...all floating in a big pocket at the end of my duffel bag. Also, how many times have I fumbled around in my bag trying to find my other 4oz glove in the jumbled mess of muay thai gear in the big compartment along with my gi and wrestling shoes and etc etc etc.
As soon as I saw this bag I wanted one to better arrange my crap. I got it, and now my crap is better arranged. It's soooo much easier.
Also, this is a quality bag. It's got a sturdy linen feel to it. It's durable looking and feeling, while being lightweight. It's elegant.
Sure, you can buy some cheap bag and you get a bag, fine. But this bag is the bomb - it's worth the money.

Post from Sherdog.net :
After reading about some $120 gear bag on the very day my $60 Calpack bag ripped I figured it was a sign or something. I am by no means rich but I spent $60 on a gear bag that lasted a little less than a year and this was a year I did not train much due to injury. I figured spending double that but having a product that lasted much, much longer it would be worth it (much better than spending $60 again and again).
I knew from reading about hemp in the past that it was a very durable fiber (4x stronger than cotton). On top of that the bag is geared specifically for mma gear. There are pockets on the side that fit; a mouthguard, 4 oz gloves (two pockets like this), cell phone, and 1 for your wallet. It also has two big compartments (one on each end). In these you can fit a pair of boxing gloves if you chose too. On the outside there are a couple of mesh compartments which could be used for water bottles or sweaty gear that you don't want to put in the bag. You needn't worry about putting sweaty gear in the bag though cause it is anti-microbial and hemp breathes very well.
My initial impression when the bag arrived (I ordered it on Wednesday night in WA and it was on my doorstep Saturday) was that it is huge! The shoulder strap is very nice which since my old bag had many issues regarding that it's important to me. It is adjustable on both ends and has a very secure latching system (the main issue with my last bag was the shoulder strap constantly coming undone). I have fit a lot of gear in here (1x boxing glove, 1x bag gloves, 3x mma gloves, 3x shin guards, 2x groin cup, 3x ankle supporters, 1x mouthguard, 3x handwraps and I still have nothing in the end compartments) and still have the end compartments to put shorts and rashguards.
The materials and zippers are all top notch. I have pulled on the bag and it has a little stretch but is strong as hell. I haven't gotten to use it much yet but I really think this bag will last for years with no issue.
Is this bag for everyone? Probably not at $120 it is expensive but it's not outrageous by any means. I would definitely recommend it to anybody that is serious about training and will stick with it for any length of time.

Post from Sherdog.net :
I had long been using traditional bags that were around, duffel bag (the plastic kinda feel) material, normal bags you would use to take luggage abroad. True story on my first judo class a month or two ago the zip on one of the bags my dad had bought in japan, it somehow got caught on my nogi.com shorts and wouldn't untangle. So I had to rip the zipper off so i could get the bag to un stick from me, it was, shitty to say the least.
Regardless I wasn't going to pull a Phil Baroni and use a garbage bag for training gear (youtube it) and was considering getting the Datsusara MMA Bag after seeing it. I had been wary about hemp products for a while, noting that I had looked at importing hemp bread after seeing sherk use it on UFC All Access, but hemp bread was banned. It also stopped me from ordering a Groundforce Kimono because I was not sure if any of it would go through customs, Australian customs do suck.
So I rang them up and after a few queries it was revealed that it wouldn't be a problem so I immediately contacted codell23 and queried about getting one.
When to the point, it's a good concept. Gear gets stinky, and I believe codell23 said you can wash the bag since it is hemp. It does breathe, and it's an asset to anyone who trains MMA or Kickboxing/Boxing the like. It's just an overall good product.
Can't wait to get back to Judo and have something nice to put my gear in that won't breed bacteria badly. ewww.
Overall: 10/10. I only have one gear bag, so this gets a 10. Cannot complain.
